Shanghai Electric Porcelain Works Co., Ltd (SEPW), founded in 1946, is a medium-sized high and new tech company specialized in manufacturing “SHANGCI” brand of surge arrester, H.V.drop-out fuse cutout, H.V.disconnecting switch, H.V.insulator and lightning-proof technology. Now, SEPW is a syndic unit of China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association, vice director unit of Insulator and Arrester Branch, and a member of the National surge arrester and fuse Standard Committee.
SEPW, with its quality policy “Well-designed, Carefully- manufactured, attentively-managed, warmheartedly-served, and continuously improved”, was one of the earliest companies in electric porcelain industry to carry out ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System, ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System, and OHSAS18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management. Its’ leading products, surge arrester and H.V.drop-out fuse cutout was separately certified by international authoritative certification (KEMA & CESI), and the domestic authoritative testing organization.
SEPW has more than 40 senior technical staff. It continuously cooperates with Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Jiaotong University and other scientific research institutes, and insists on the common development of enterprises, universities and research institutes. In recent years, with the implementation of centralized procurement biding by the State Grid, the high quality surge arrester, H.V. drop-out fuse cutout, H.V. disconnecting switch, lightning-proof post insulator and other products win the bid in 15 provinces or municipalities, such as Shanghai City, Zhejiang Province, Shandong Province, Anhui Province, Hebei Province, Beijing City, Tianjin City, Chongqing City, Sichuan Province, Henan Province, Hunan Province, Jiangxi Province and Fujian Province.
